Borderlands 4 - Welcome Center

The intro location, the eerie swamp prison called the Welcome Center. This one was a real challenge for me, since I usually don’t focus much on architecture or how it needs to feel playable in a game. Fortunately, Jean-Gabriel helped me redesign my initial ideas. I modeled his sketch and integrated it into my swamp scenes. Interestingly, my rough 3D blockout ended up closer to what’s in the game, but the final art piece still made an awesome loading screen for the prison.
