Borderlands 4 - Mountain Vista Concepts

After I finished the proxy for the skybox, I was introduced to Tris, who became my art director for all the mountain vista concepts and paintovers. Tris has an incredible understanding of rock shape language, and I immediately connected with his vision for the mountains in this project. Big, sharp, spiky cliffs, exactly the kind of forms I love creating. I also explored cloud cover concepts, which were well-received, and the final clouds ended up closely reflecting those. Working on these scenes was genuinely relaxing. The level artists and Tris did an amazing job bringing them to life in-engine. I’m really proud of how they turned out.
